Help shape accessible community transport in the area – join our Board of Trustees

sedcat is a community transport charity operating in Bournemouth and beyond giving people access to a wide range of facilities by providing inclusive and affordable accessible transport and equipment.

We would welcome applications from people with business skills who might have experience of finance or HR, development, strategic planning, project managing or marketing. You will be interested in transport issues and how the lack of provision negatively affects a person’s quality of life leading to loneliness and social isolation and changes the economic and cultural nature of a community. We are particularly interested in applications from people in the local community with disabilities and/or members of the BAME community.

We have gaps in business skills including HR, marketing, project, and strategic management but other skills where decision making occurs are welcome. We are seeking to ensure that the Board reflects the diverse population of Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and East Dorset and welcome people who can bring diversity to the Board.

The finance and personnel sub-committee meet every other month at Castlepoint during the day. Meetings are held during week days for 3-4 hours, can be mornings or afternoons. Travel expenses can be claimed.
