Sedcat can provide accessible transport services to get you to your vital Hospital appointments if you struggle with mobility or any impairment that hinders access to public transport. This is not a free service, costs apply and we charge via post code zoning.
We can offer an accessible transport service to residents living within postcodes BH1 – BH18 & Bh23. To use our services you first have to become a member of our transport scheme for insurance purposes, should you be a wheelchair user and require transport in your own wheelchair this would need to be risk assessed prior to any transport being undertaken and can take up to 2 weeks once you have signed up as a member.
We require at least 5 days notice prior to your hospital appointment and only once you have become a member. We have limited capacity on this service and booking early is essential.

You may be able to get help with your NHS appointments travel costs through the NHS Low Income Scheme (LIS). You can apply for the scheme as long as your savings, investments or property (not including where you live) do not exceed the capital limit and you have an annual household income below £16 000. You can apply for the NHS Low Income Scheme either by post or online.

You will still need to pay your transport fare to sedcat in advance and ask for a receipt. You can then submit this receipt to the NHS to have your transport reimbursed.
