Bat Bus launches new trips for the Winter and Summer

Many people in Bournemouth (post code BH1 to BH11) will have heard of the BAT bus, well known for talking those with mobility problems to the shops at Castlepoint and Boscombe, but it is not as well known for the half-day and full-day trips that takes its clients on to various interesting venues, including a lunch stops, in and around East Dorset and the New Forest.

These trips are for anyone, of any age who has problems accessing public transport through a disability or lack of mobility – this also includes pregnant women for example. The aim of the charity that runs that BAT BUS is to help prevent loneliness and isolation, by bring people together to get out and about and make new friends.

Featured on the winter/spring programme are the ever popular Fish and Chip outings, the tried and tested visits to garden centres, Christmas markets, farm shops and pub lunches to places such as Corfe, this season will see more afternoon trips with tea stops and trips to Swanage Railway and Arne RSBP, not to mention the Christmas Party!
